What is Extrude in solid works

As we freely knows that solid works is a 3D modeling software and is best use in automobile sector.
It contains the verities of tools. in which extrude is one of the best tool.
It is a 3d modeling tool, which is mainly used to convert a 2D sketch into the 3d.it is also call as a material adding in a 2d sketch, after extruding a sketch u can apply a verity of colors and materials on it.
To learn this tool let’s we follow a way for that:-
:- make a 2d rectangle in front plane of the solid works.     
:-now, go to the extrude tool select the height of extrude and then press ok
:- extrude toolbar is also contain some other features like-draft, direction vector, thickness and select contours.
Draft:- it mean flip the object at some angle.
Direction vector:- which mean to extrude the object in a particular direction(randomly a object can extrude in horizontal/vertical direction but because of direction vector it can move in some angular direction).
Thickness:- it mean to empty  the volume of sketch with some wall thickness.
